What can I use KibblesTasty’s Homebrew Content for?

I am extremely permissive with what you can do with my content. In general, whatever you want to do is fine, with very few common sense exceptions. For more details:

The following is released under CC-BY-4.0.

  • Kibbles’ Generic Elemental Spells - 105 additional elemental spells.

For all content released under CC-BY-4.0, see KRD (Kibbles’ Reference Document).

For the rest of my content…

You can, without limitation or need for further permission, use my content for any of the following:

  • Give a copy of it to your players.

  • Print it out for your table.

  • Share it on a private discord.

  • Share my free content on any platform.

  • Port my free content into VTTs, Character Builders, D&D Beyond, or wherever you desire to use it; you can share or post the ported versions as you like.

  • Add any classes, subclasses, etc, to character builder apps, reference documents, or wikis.

  • Use it in a live stream, video, or podcast. You can show any or all parts of the documents on stream or video.

  • Homebrew your own suppliments, additional subclasses, etc, that ties into the content.

  • Use Kibbles’ Generic Spells in any capacity, including in your own content, with or without credit, though if using a large amount crediting them is recommended.

  • Share my content on an individual basis to anyone you know you think would be interested in it.

  • Use the monsters, NPCs, or mechanics from my content in your Adventures, Homebrew, Campaigns, etc.

  • Translate it to another language for use in your games, groups, or gaming circles.

You can, within reason, do any of the following:

  • Revise my content to your needs. Within Reason: Feel free to post it publicly, but please mark it as revised and credit the original if takes large portions of it.

  • Use my mechanics inside your homebrew. You can lift all or part of Psionics for your own content, or reference any of my other systems - Heroic Inspiration, Crafting, Camp Actions, Weather, Useful Common Items, etc. You can reproduce the mechanics referenced (for example, if you make something using the Psionic Discipline Telepathy, you can copy paste my Telepathy mechanics into your document). Within Reason: Credit the source; if not for my sake, to let people know you had permission.

  • Share my paywalled content on public discords. Within Reason: If it is for the purposes of using said content. For example, if you are on a public Westmarches server, and would like to use my Crafting system, I don’t require everyone pays $1… feel free to share it. However, I’d just ask for reasonable common sense when it comes to sharing it for purposes other than using it in your games.

  • Port my paywalled content into VTTs, Character Builders, Apps, or D&D Beyond. Within Reason: You can do this, and like with sharing, I don’t really mind, just don’t plaster it everywhere, share it for the purposes of playing D&D with it.

  • Use Kibbles’ Casting Compendium spells in your own homebrew. You can use them and copy paste them into your content in an individual capacity - feel free to take a few at a time. Within Reason: Don’t make NotKibbles’ Casting Compendium and copy paste the whole thing, and preferably reference the source of any spells you take.

  • Share and redistribute versions of my content that have been translated to other languages on social media, gaming platforms, etc. Within Reason: Credit the source of the content, and do not resell the content. If you have a compelling case for reselling the content or would like to more formally publish it another language, feel free to reach out and we can discuss.

  • Use art assets (that are copyright KibblesTasty) for in your game (characters, monsters, etc), when reviewing my content or otherwise writing about it, making homebrew versions of my content, or supplements to my content. Within Reason: If publicly posted, credit me and the artist that drew it. I’m not really going to try to stop you from using it for other purposes, beyond recommending common sense.

  • Use my free content (classes, subclasses, spells, feats, etc) in your character builder, virtual table top, 5e video game, video game mod, or similar project. Within Reason: This can be included in a paid product, but cannot charge a separate fee for access to my content without further permission or licensing. I am happy to provide permission to use my paid content for this purpose as well in most cases.

What I’d rather you don’t do:

  • Repackage my content and present it as your own to sell it on a store front or similar. I wouldn’t really think I’d need to elaborate on this, but it’s been done multiple times.

If anything is not listed here, simply reach out to me to ask about it. You can contact me here, or on Discord, and I should reply within a few days. In general, I allow almost anything within reason that done in good faith.
